My first attempt at a Halloween poster. I think I did a good job . Photo manipulation all done by me. Some may like it. Some may not. What’s important is that I tried my best.

This has got to be my favorite quote, ever:
This quote is an excerpt from a longer piece, part of an Apple commercial from 1997. It’s actually narrated by Steve Jobs. See it below, as well as the video. Continue Reading

I noticed, that, with many Graphic Designers, (and others who create and use flyers), it is the “norm” to create a design that is cluttered and congested with details and information of the event or reason/purpose for the flyer. We believe we must hoard all the information we can and include as much of that information within the design of the flyer. The results are flyers you have to ‘study’ just to discover what the clutter is depicting.
Less information doesn’t spell doom for your marketing campaign. Au contraire! I am a firm believer in simplicity and bold concepts. In your next flyer, try instead highlighting just 5 of the most important details of your event, and 2 sub-details, and watch the difference it makes.
A little preview for my readers. It’s a design I am currently working on. A t-shirt design to be exact. The only information I can give at this time, is that it’s a Restaurant/Nightclub/Hang-Out-Lounge, on a quaint Island in the Bahamas. It is a popular tourist spot and a favorite of the natives. I was contacted by the owner not only to design the T-Shirts, but also branding the business with a new Logo. I’ll show you more of that later. Thoughts?
