I noticed, that, with many Graphic Designers, (and others who create and use flyers), it is the “norm” to create a design that is cluttered and congested with details and information of the event or reason/purpose for the flyer. We believe we must hoard all the information we can and include as much of that information within the design of the flyer. The results are flyers you have to ‘study’ just to discover what the clutter is depicting.
“Simplicity is genius.”
Less information doesn’t spell doom for your marketing campaign. Au contraire! I am a firm believer in simplicity and bold concepts. In your next flyer, try instead highlighting just 5 of the most important details of your event, and 2 sub-details, and watch the difference it makes.
